The Riley RM Club on Social Media
The Riley RM Club can be found on a number of social media platforms, and welcomes contributions to them from members. Find us using our @rileyrmclub handle – we’re on . . .
Instagram – the place for those special photos that show our cars at their best – you can see a selection of them on our own Club website site here
Of course, we’re also on X (formerly known as Twitter) . . . but have stayed silent so far . . .
Want to add to our online presence?
Simple – join our Facebook group (see below for details), or send contributions to soc.media@rileyrmclub.org.uk or youtube@rileyrmclub.org.uk. Longer videos can be uploaded via a service like WeTransfer, but please email us first with details.
Aren't we forgetting something?
Our pre-eminent online presence is of course our Club Forum (details here), where you can find thousands of posts on a wide variety of topics – the most valuable probably being the wealth of technical advice and expertise built up over many years of contributions from Club experts.
New members should make joining the Forum one of their top priorities
Joining our Facebook group
Firstly, if you are not a Club member, and all you want to do is read members’ posts & comments, and admire the photos of cars and social events – there is no need to join the Group; you are very welcome to sit on the sidelines and watch.
However, if you are a Club member, and you’d like to add to the conversation in the Group, then you do need to join. First off, click on the Join Group button just under the Group banner
Is that all there is to it? No!
You will not be able to post or comment in the Group if you don’t complete the next dialogue box. In it, you should give your Riley RM Club membership number (and please bear in mind your Facebook name must match the name we have on record for that membership number), and then make sure you scroll down to click the tick box to agree to the 4 rules of the Group.
They are:
1 Data Protection
This group expressly forbids the sharing of The Riley RM Club members’ personal information. Please de not disclose the ownership details of cars posted in this group unless you are the owner. Only RM Club members can post or comment in this group.
2 Be kind and courteous
We’re all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let’s treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required.
3 No hate speech or bullying
Offensive language, bullying or abusive comments will not be tolerated, neither will degrading comments about things such as race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity.
4 No promotions, advertisements or spam
Give more to this group than you take. Self-promotion, spam, advertisements and irrelevant links aren‘t allowed.
If you Join the Group without completing that, just click to ‘Leave’ the Group, then Join again.
